Whether you’re local or living somewhere else in the States, if you have only read about or seen St. Louis from afar and you have the time and money you ought to get out there and see this place for yourself. Don’t even think about it another second. Pack some things, book the flight, turn on the ADT home security and get ready because I have a list of the best things to see and do in St. Louis starting with…

The Gateway Arch – This stainless steel monument reaches up into the sky and you can’t really walk anywhere in the city without seeing it. The structure and sheer magnitude of it is absolutely overwhelming and standing under it while it looms overhead is something you have to experience for yourself.

The Saint Louis Zoo – Nowhere else will you find a bigger assortment of rare and exotic creatures for you to enjoy. And there is something always going on with new and rare zoo babies awakening into this world each and every year.

I could spend all day talking about St. Louis and you could spend all day reading about itor you could hit the road and see it for yourself.

Less than a block from Lafayette Square on Benton Place, The Lehmann House Bed & Breakfast is a home built in 1893. The home is a Romanesque Revival mansion with well-kept grounds on the cul-de-sac of a quiet street. Originally, the Lehmann House was the home of President Taft’s Solicitor General, Frederick W. Lehmann. Guests can select their room from four individually decorated rooms and wake up to eat a wonderful breakfast.

Features & Amenities

Spacious rooms each have their own collection of interesting antiques and an over-sized antique bed.I was looking for more information and found it here. The air conditioned rooms have their own large bathroom, free WI-Fi and desk. Then, room suites also have many amenities and extras like a refrigerator, tea and coffee making machine, and fireplace.

Meals

Bed and breakfasts should have a fine meal as the day begins and The Lehmann House does not disappoint. Full breakfasts include freshly baked pastries like their Cherry Ladder Coffee Cake, a special egg dish, toast, and breakfast meat. Always, even more food items are added to the main fare. Coffee is brewed fresh, and tea, milk and orange juice is served.

This home-style establishment is close to the big Arch, Busch Stadium, and St. Louis Zoo.

St. Louis Missouri is a great family vacation destination. St. Louis is full of festivals and fairs and has many points of interest that always peaks everyone in the family’s attention young or old. Known for its “concrete” ice cream and breweries of both beer and root beer, there is something for everyone in this city. There is a festival for almost every holiday. Families always enjoy the Balloon Glow and Race, the “Wild Lights” holiday light display, and The Loop Ice Carnival. Besides the seasonal activities, St. Louis offers plenty of year round points of interest. At the top of the famous St. Louis Arch, kids can experience riding in science fiction looking cars called “pods.” City Museum’s outdoor playground is also a favorite of most kids. On the inside of this museum you can enjoy exploring caves lit by candlelight, “swimming” through rivers filled with balls, while traveling through multiple levels by way of a slide! This museum also has an airplane suspended three stories above the ground that kids always marvel over. Many of St. Louis’s main attractions including the zoo, art museum and science center are also free saving your family a large amount of money.
